In a pay run
While you adjust a pay run, its Deductions tab lists each employee’s Employee deductions and Company contributions. Contractors and people excluded from the run aren’t listed. Select a person to see each line under Employee Deductions and Company Contributions. You can’t change amounts on this tab. To change what’s deducted, edit the deduction itself.Benefits deductions

- Enter the Benefit plan name, Start Date and End Date.
- For plans with a fixed amount, choose the Benefit Period: whether you enter amounts for each employee by month or by pay period.

Deductions for one person
From a person’s profile in People, you can add deductions that apply only to them.
Post-tax deduction types cover garnishments and similar orders, such as Child support, Alimony, Student loan, Federal tax levy and Creditor garnishment. You can also add an optional Amount total, end date, minimum salary, case number and agency details. Choose Edit in the row’s menu to change one later.
Post-tax deductions can only be added once a person has finished onboarding, and not after they’ve been terminated.
