# Kiosks

> Turn a shared tablet into a time clock your team clocks in and out on

> Kiosks may not be available for your company yet.

A kiosk is a shared tablet your team clocks in and out on. Each person picks their name and enters a PIN, and their time flows into [Timesheets](/time/overview). Company Admins, HR Admins and Owners can manage kiosks once your company has finished payroll and company onboarding.

## Add and pair a kiosk

Before you start, add the place the kiosk will be as a location in **Settings** > **Locations** (see [Company information](/settings/company-profile)).

**1. Add a kiosk**

Select **Add kiosk** and give it a **Name**, a **Location** and a **Timezone**. Its page opens straight away.

**2. Open the kiosk on the tablet**

The tablet shows an eight-character code while it waits to be paired.

**3. Enter the code it shows**

Type the code on the kiosk's page and select **Pair kiosk**. The tablet finishes setting itself up on its own.

**4. Keep it open**

Turn on Guided Access on the tablet so the kiosk stays in front and nobody can leave it.

## Manage kiosks

**Kiosks** lists each kiosk's **Name**, **Location**, when it was **Last seen**, its **Device** and its **Status**: **Waiting to pair**, **Finishing pairing** or **Paired**. Open a kiosk to see:

| **Details** | Its name, location and time zone |
| **Status** | Whether it's paired. A paired kiosk has **Pair a different device**, which signs the current tablet out |
| **Kiosk PIN** | The four digits that open settings on the tablet. Tap the Every logo on the tablet to enter them |
| **Device** | When the tablet was paired |
| **History** | Each time a device was paired or unpaired |

From a kiosk's menu you can also:

* **Unpair device**: the kiosk stops accepting clock-ins until you pair a device again.
* **Remove kiosk**: the kiosk stops working straight away. This can't be undone.

## Set people up to clock in

To have an hourly employee clock in at a kiosk, set their timesheet to **Track hours via Time clock** and choose **Where will this employee be working?** You can do this when you hire them (see [Adding people](/hr/onboarding)) or later from the **Job & pay** tab of their profile.

While people are clocked in, they appear on the **On the clock** tab in **Timesheets**. Hours from kiosk punches are built from the punches, so you can't edit them there.
