# Transactions

> Review your company's account and card transactions and attach receipts

**Banking** > **Transactions** lists the transactions on your company's Every accounts and cards. Company Admins and Bookkeepers can use it once your company has finished onboarding. Employees see their own card spend under **My transactions**.

## Find a transaction

The page has two tabs:

| Tab | What you'll find |
| - | - |
| **All** | Every transaction |
| **Missing information** | Transactions that still need something, such as a receipt your company requires. If your company uses [transaction policies](/banking/policies), this tab lists the transactions that are **Out of Policy** instead. The count beside the tab covers only the page you're on |

Each row shows the **Date**, **To/From**, **Balance**, **Payment method**, **Account**, **Category**, **Receipt**, **Status** and **Amount**. Use the filters to narrow the list by card, **To/From**, **Payment Method**, date, amount, **Direction** (credit or debit) or **Status**.

To recategorize a transaction, pick a new **Category** in its row, or right-click the row and choose **Change category**. To change several at once, select their rows and choose **Assign category**. Payroll transactions can't be recategorized.

## Transaction details

Select a transaction to open its details: the amount, who it was to or from, the date, and information such as the card, payment type, payment status and account.

* If the transaction needs a receipt, it's marked **Missing information**. Upload a PDF or image under **Receipt**, and describe the purchase in **What is this purchase for?**
* If your company uses transaction policies, the details list each thing the policy asks for and whether it has been added.
* If a receipt is already attached, you can download it from the same section.

If your company syncs transactions to QuickBooks, some transactions also show **Accounting details** with the QuickBooks vendor, category and department, and the sync status.

## Download

The **Download** menu has **Download CSV**, along with your bank letter, wire instructions and statements. **Download CSV** builds a report of the transactions that match your current filters. Select **Generate report**, and Every emails you a download link when it's ready.

## Upload receipts in bulk

If your company has bulk receipt upload, you'll see **Upload receipts** at the top of the page. It lets you match a batch of receipts to transactions in one go.

1. Select **Upload receipts**, then drop your files in or choose them.

2. Every uploads each file and looks for the transaction it belongs to. Receipts are grouped by where they stand:

   | Group | What it means |
   | - | - |
   | **Needs review** | No match was found. Select the receipt, then **Assign to transaction** and pick one |
   | **Failed** | The upload or save didn't work. Retry it or remove it |
   | **Uploading** | Still uploading or being matched |
   | **Matched** | Linked to a transaction, either **Auto-matched** or **Assigned** by you. Select **Change transaction** to pick another |

3. For a matched receipt, you can add **Notes** to give context for the transaction.

4. Select **Done** to save. If a matched transaction already has a receipt, Every asks before replacing it.

Use **Previous** and **Next** to move between receipts.
