# Insights

> See cash, revenue, spend and runway from your books in one dashboard

> [!NOTE]
>
> Insights may not be available for your company yet.

**Accounting** > **Insights** opens **Accounting insights**, a dashboard built from your connected QuickBooks books. Company Admins and Bookkeepers can use it once your company has finished onboarding.

If QuickBooks isn't connected, the page shows **Connect your accounting software** instead. If it's connected but not fully set up, you'll see **Complete your accounting setup**. Both take you to [Accounting settings](/settings/accounting).

## Widgets

The dashboard is made of widgets. These show by default:

| Widget | What it shows |
| - | - |
| **Accounting status** | Monthly categorization progress and your bookkeeping plan |
| **Cash on hand** | Your live bank balance across your connected accounts |
| **Revenue** | Your monthly revenue trend |
| **Monthly spend** | What you spent in the most recent month |
| **Cash & runway** | Your cash trend with a runway projection |
| **Burn breakdown** | Your top spend categories, from your profit and loss expenses |
| **Key drivers** | An AI summary of what's driving your revenue and expenses |
| **Financial statements** | Your profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet |

You can also add **Monthly revenue**, **Runway**, **Revenue vs expenses** and **All accounts** (the balance across all your Every accounts). If your company has it, you can also add **Ask digital CFO**, which lets you ask questions about your finances.

### Financial statements

Switch between **Profit & loss**, **Cash flow** and **Balance sheet**. You can pick a date range, group the columns by month, quarter or year, switch between accrual and cash basis, and filter to a section such as **Revenue** or **Expenses**. Select **Export to CSV** to download what you're looking at.

## Customize your dashboard

1. Select **Customize**.
2. Drag widgets to move them, or select **Remove widget** to take one off.
3. Select **Add widget** to choose from the widgets you aren't showing yet.
4. Select **Done** to save your layout.

Your layout is saved for you only. Select **Reset** while customizing to go back to the default layout.
